Pontones Music is proud to offer group classes and sessions. We offer a wide range of group classes, from group piano lessons for homeschools and co-ops to heavy metal guitar courses and bucket drumming lessons for everyone. Group classes are usually CHEAPER than our private lesson option, great for families on a budget or those looking to try an instrument before committing to private lessons.

Brass Kickstart: Get Ready for Marching Band!
Set your student up for success this season with our Brass Kickstart Class! This is a 2-week program, designed specifically for brass players who want to feel confident and prepared heading into marching band.
Students will:
✨ Work on marching band music
✨ Strengthen tone, technique, and endurance
✨ Build confidence playing in a group setting
✨ Get a head start before the season begins
This class is perfect for both newer and returning brass players who want to walk into band camp feeling ready instead of overwhelmed.

Our Bucket Drumming Class turns ordinary buckets into extraordinary instruments! Led by our talented instructors, students will explore rhythm, timing, and musical creativity in a hands-on, high-energy environment. Through fun group activities, participants will learn basic drumming techniques, play along to popular songs, and discover how teamwork creates amazing sound.
No prior experience is needed — just bring your enthusiasm and be ready to have a blast! This class is perfect for kids who love music, movement, and making a little (okay, maybe a lot of) noise.
$10 to participate

This class is designed to help students play well-known contemporary worship songs using just a few basic chords and simple strumming patterns. Students will build confidence in switching between chords, keeping steady rhythm, and playing along with familiar music.
We’ll also cover how to use a capo to easily change keys, making it simple to match different vocal ranges or play along with recordings. By the end of the course, students will have the skills to play and enjoy a variety of worship songs on their own.
$40 to participate

Our Mommy & Me Music Class is a joyful, hands-on experience for little ones and their caregivers! Together, we’ll sing, move, play instruments, and explore the magic of music through rhythm and melody. Designed for babies and toddlers, this class encourages bonding, early learning, and lots of smiles through interactive musical fun!

Strum & Sing: Ukulele for Kids (Ages 6–12)
Get ready to strum, sing, and smile! This fun and interactive ukulele class is perfect for beginners ages 6 to 12. Students will learn the basics of ukulele playing, including how to hold the instrument, strum simple chords, and play fun songs they’ll love. Along the way, we’ll explore rhythm, melody, and even a little singing! No prior experience needed—just bring your enthusiasm (and your ukulele if you have one!). This class is a great introduction to music and helps build confidence, coordination, and creativity in a supportive group setting.
