Meet Josie!

Teaching Philosophy: If you’re ready to learn an instrument and have fun doing it, Josie’s your person! She blends creativity, patience, and a knack for meeting students where they are, making each lesson feel less like work and more like discovery.

What They Teach: From clarinet, flute and trombone to saxophone, trumpet, guitar, and ukulele — I love helping students explore a variety of instruments. I’ve given private lessons at Pontones for over 13 years and strive to keep lessons engaging and tailored to each student.

Why They Love Teaching: Nothing beats watching a student’s confidence soar when they realize they can do it. Those “aha!” moments are what keep me coming back for more!
