Meet Lauren!

Teaching Philosophy: My philosophy is that every student is different, but my goal is that every student feels comfortable with the foundations of reading music and creating music on their instrument. If the student is a visual learner, we draw the concepts out. If the student is an auditory learner, we listen to the songs. If the student is a hands-on learner, we work on examples by playing songs. 

What They Teach: Piano and violin are my main instruments, but I also teach ukulele, acoustic/electric guitar, baritone ukulele, and beginner levels of cello and viola. 

Why They Love Teaching: I firmly believe that music is for everyone at every age of life. Music is healing, creative, disciplined, and a good brain workout sometimes too! I love seeing how students integrate music into their lives, how music might comfort them and also push them to grow out of their comfort zones. Everyone is different, and I love finding that love of music with every student and helping them grow that love! 

Fun Fact: When I was younger I actually started teaching music via YouTube! I had a small following teaching ukulele tutorials!
