Meet Liz!

Teaching philosophy: My teaching philosophy revolves around meeting students where they are in their musical journey and making the learning experience fun, engaging, and exciting. I recognize each student's unique learning style and tailor my lessons to each student to fit their learning style. 

What They Teach: I teach trumpet (all stages), beginning piano, beginning violin, and beginning trombone. During my daytime job, I teach beginning band, first-year strings, and second-year strings! 

Why They Love Teaching: My favorite part of teaching is seeing the spark when a student successfully plays a piece of music. I love seeing the excitement and enthusiasm after they succeed. This is why I especially love teaching beginners! I love helping students discover their passion. 

Fun Fact: I enjoy spending my free time with my kids and husband, hiking, yoga, and coloring. Also, I’ve performed on my trumpet in 4 different countries!
