We are also proud to bring you bigger and better lesson rooms. With a total of SEVEN lesson rooms, you can learn any instrument at a time that fits your schedule!

Josie Semo and Lauren Singleton are both longtime teachers at Pontones Music and Grove City residents. They are taking over ownership of the store from Maria Pontones, who has semi-retired. While Maria will continue to work at the store, she is entering semi-retirement and has trusted Josie and Lauren with the business her family started and has run for over 55 years.

Will anything change with my lessons? 

The short answer is yes, there will be some changes. Please contact your teacher regarding any specific changes they have made, but we have instituted some basic store-wide policies to bring some cohesiveness to billing policies at Pontones Music. 

Change #1: We know many teachers maintain their own payment policies. However, this is unsustainable in the long term, especially in today’s market. Therefore, starting March 1st, 2025, all students taking lessons at Pontones Music will be required to pay for lessons, on a monthly basis, to their teacher. This is a standard policy at many lesson studios and aligns Pontones Music with the rest of the private lesson industry. 

Change #2: Your teacher will continue to set their own pricing, but please be aware that many will raise their pricing as we have instituted a minimum lesson charge of $30, regardless of how many lessons are attended a month.
